A Christian Woman's Ministry

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

As Bible-believing Christians, being pilgrims of this world is pretty challenging.

We are to face trials and persecutions for the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A woman's duty is to be obedient, first and foremost, to God's word, then to her husband whose desire is to please the Lord and lead the family for His Name. A mother's duty is to teach her children to follow the right and narrow path of TRUTH which leads to life everlasting in mansions of glory.

Matthew 7:13-14, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

John 14:2, In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Only the thought of my salvation and what is to come in the "afterlife" is too overwhelming for my limited mind to comprehend. I realized how rich I am simply by being born again in God's family and being ONE with Jesus Christ Who is ONE with the Father. Only by the Holy Ghost a believer can be born again spiritually.

John 3:3-7, Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Like anyone else, I have been lost and on my way to hell. Fortunately, God finally got hold of my heart, so now I am the daughter of the King of the Universe and beyond.

Currently, I am both a wife and mother. Before God granted me these two important roles, He had to open my eyes in regards to my lack of knowledge and indifference towards the most outstanding truth in this life: Jesus Christ.

I praise Him for His patience, mercy, love, compassion, and understanding towards me. Because of His sacrifice and His shed blood on the Cross, I am forever redeemed and saved for eternity.

Hebrews 9:22, And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The Gospel is so true and simple, yet in my walk with the Lord, I discovered that far too many people and professing Christians add works to their salvation, which limits the complete atonement that Jesus offered on the Cross at Calvary. My dear brethren, God's love far exceeds our sinful nature; this type of love of a Holy and Righteous God is hard to be understood, but it is so vivid and real. It is in the heart of every single Bible believer. Despite our wickedness, Jesus Christ still paid it all.

John 1:29, The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

If you repent and truly trust Him, He promises to save you.

My dear friend, if you are a teacher, mother, and/or wife, and also born again, please mind how you go by in your every walk of life. Let God's grace shine through you as it is ordained in the holy scriptures,

1 Peter 3:1-4, Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Apart from being discreet, quiet, loving and obedient, we are also to teach other young women and children in sobriety and fear of God,

Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

In order for us, mothers, to raise a child biblically, we should learn God's word in love, willingness, and submission. The more obedience, the more God works through us,

John 14:26, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26, But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Dear women, as God-fearing Christians, we are to present, talk and explain the scriptures to our children so that when they are older they shall not depart from it.

Of course, teaching is a laborious work which has at its core an extensive process of development. A child can learn about God if exposed by repetition to the word of God, "which liveth and abideth forever." (1 Peter 1:23).

Romans 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

A child must learn authority in and outside the home. Every single child must be taught respect, honor, praise, and all of these should start with the Bible and God. Then, the child learns to conduct himself/herself scripturally, with God's word in their heart,

Psalm 119:11, Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

In the Bible, we see that Timothy's mother and grandmother played an important role in raising Timothy godly, though his father was a Greek. Timothy kept the faith and was greatly used by the Lord in the call He had for him. Still a novice, Lois and Eunice allowed Timothy to follow Paul in the God-ordained ministry. We all know how hard it is to let go of our children, especially at a young age, but if God has a purpose for our children, then we better pray and let God work in their lives, just as in the case of Timotheus and other characters in the Bible who followed God.

As wives and mothers, we should be prayer warriors (and it is a ministry that requires lots of work) for our own household, church family and brethren.

Dear ladies, let us stop raising deceivers, criminals, thieves, but rather raise God-fearing children obedient to God and the Cross. Of course, it is not up to us to determine the choice people make in their lives... There are cases where children are raised in godly families, and yet very few or none are born again, and vice versa; God Almighty already knows who His sheep is and who is not.

My point is that this world needs Bible warriors, to wake people up, and everything starts with us, dear women, to instill in (our) children Biblical principles as much as we can, because I guarantee you, IT IS WORTH IT ALL IN GLORY.

2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Support your children in the choices they make as long as it is about helping other people and having the best intentions at heart, like them becoming doctors, engineers, scientists, preachers, etc. Remember, though, one thing. God is holding you accountable for everything you do, say, or think. Nothing is hidden! Take your roles as Christian women seriously, seek the Lord, pray to Him to help you be better in witnessing and teaching little children. One day you will be rewarded for all the work you do for the LORD!

Proverbs 23:13-14, Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

We all have a duty as parents to deal with our children when they disobey. If they learn correction from an early age, how much more will they learn obedience and reverence towards God,

Hebrews 12:6, For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Let it all be for God's glory. Your children will remember you one day! Leave the unique trace in their heart which reminds them of the Almighty!

Christian woman, let the verse "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" be not followed by "except". Give your best that all your household follows your example in truth and obedience to the word of God. The Lord is going to take care of the rest!

With godly love,

Denisa
