My current walk with Christ since 2018 till FOREVER - my Testimony

When it comes to my testimony, I feel incredibly joyful to share it with all of you! So, sit comfortably and let's begin!

It all started at the end of December 2018, when I was still a MA student at the Theory and Practice of Translations department. Two years prior to that I was advanced in different sorts of theories: New Age, meditation, occultism, healing powers of the mind, crystal healing theories, and a bit of alchemy. I was raised an Orthodox and was not sound in following the Bible, though I was religious since I was a child. In fact, I had not even read the Bible back then (such a shame, but true). I was keen on the Ancient Egypt, historical facts about ancient nations, etc. I was lost in all sorts of unbiblical rituals, and I was doing it for fun, thinking I was on the right path. I wanted to become a success guru, to have webinars, instruct people to manifest from within, share theories and help them develop businesses. Starting following these practices goes back to a time when I experienced some unpleasant sensations in my body as a result of some Magnesium deficiency. I was still a student under lots of stress. So, I started digging into the metaphysical realm by reading all sorts of theories, articles, books regarding manifesting the life you want to have based on your own powers; it is a trend nowadays, by the way. I still felt something was not quite right due to my repetitive habits I started developing each day, but I kept continuing. The movie The Secret stroke my attention, I kept listening to false prophets and teachers (as the Bible exposes them), and managed to get control over my health up to a certain extent.

One night I had an unusual dream as I had been reading The Laws of Success by Napoleon Hill. It was an unpleasant dream with a powerful message in it. There was chaos, gloomy atmosphere, people running in all directions, until this woman came into the scene with a book in her hand. She looked at me disappointed, mad, firmly stating "The thing you are reading is evil." casting into the fire the book she was holding. I woke up with a GREAT FEELING OF REGRET, DISTURBED CONSCIOUSNESS, BURDENSOME, thinking that it was my old mental programming (as I used to call it), my traditional way of thinking, so I kept rebelling against God with my attitude. There were some fierce thought fights in my mind when I started getting into the New Age, because these practices encourage you to become your own god (small 'g'), even though some of them can be so subtle and deceiving that they do not even claim that, but it is logical; everybody in their right mind would know something is wrong and that you go against God. In order to find relief I integrated God in the false picture I was creating, and there is a movement called Christian science, a branch which started fascinating me. I believed Jesus Christ had the same powers as Buddha, or as other Hindu gods, so I was both listening to all sorts of documentaries and reading books which denied the deity of Jesus Christ, casting doubt on His resurrection, teaching that He came to give us an example to be like Him. Mind that the Bible praises the name of the Lord, showing that He came here to die for our sins as the Scriptures claim. During the winter holiday of 2018 I wanted to write my MA thesis based on the process of inspiration in the human mind, how to discover your own self, the unique powers you possess. One day, as TV was turned on, there was this movie called The Nativity Story (I recommend you watch it) where the actress who was playing Mary looked so humble, obedient to God. The next step I did was not search the movie online and watch it from start to finish. I was amazed to see that the birth of Jesus Christ was not something manifested because of Mary's powers of the mind (as some religions assert), but He was God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). Still, I was not sure and I wanted to make in-depth studies about Christ consciousness, so I dedicated days in a row watching videos about Jesus and His ministry here on Earth. Those thoughts started humbling me, I felt I was wrong with my previous approaches, and the next thing I did was to look up on YouTube some religious sermons. That was the climax of me repenting and turning to God sincerely. His Name was exalted, in spite of the fact that the preacher I was listening to was not quite sound in doctrine. Guys, never lose hope! God can use anything and anybody He wants to open up your eyes. several days later, I discovered pastor Greg's ministry by one of the videos he made exposing the preacher I had been listening to. The moment I got saved a great feeling of grief overwhelmed me, I started tearing and realized I was a sinner with a distorted view about life. I was not still sure if I discovered the truth, so I desperately asked myself, "What is the truth?". I wanted to give up, but God did not give up on me. With lots of patience He showed me the truth, entrusted me in a biblical sound church. When you are saved, you become a child of God, so the Holy Ghost comes and shows you everything you need to know. Since January 2019, I've never stopped reading the King James Bible, and God also gave me a wonderful chance to write my MA thesis about the history of the King James Bible (the translation process, the stages it went through, etc.), and some general Bible teachings. God helped me see what other religions (even "Christian religions") practice wrongly, how they do not follow the Bible by not taking into consideration the warnings in it. No authority on Earth has power over us other than God and Jesus Christ Himself. When we truly want to get closer to God, He always helps us; it is something He sees in our hearts. Jeremiah 17:10, "I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." The Holy Ghost is the One helping us discover the truth and giving us the chance to be born again of the Spirit. John 14:26, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Guys, Jesus is the Christ, and He was God in the flesh paying for your sins. If you truly repent toward God with faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ, believing how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures you are born again. He is the door, He is the way. Follow Him! John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."Greater love human kind does not know, other than the love of God, becoming a living sacrifice on the cross so that we might get eternal life.
