A crown is the greatest, invaluable jewel in human history. We are all aware that the only people who wear it are kings and queens, or people of higher ranks in society, such as princes and princesses. In other words, it is a ROYAL thing.
God is attributed lots of titles in the Bible, such as the Redeemer, the Saviour, the Messiah, the Christ. Among these titles, He also has ROYAL, high-rank names like Majesty (Hebrews 1:3), Mighty, Prince (Isaiah 9:6), King (Psalm 47:2, Malachi 1:4, Matthew 5:33-35), LORD (which occurs in almost all the Bible when God Himself attributes the title to Himself, or it is mentioned by the prophets of God).
Furthermore, in the Book of Revelation, we see Jesus Christ - God manifest in the flesh - wearing a crown (Revelation 6:2) and MANY CROWNS on His head (Revelation 19:12).
There is such a great connection between the Lord’s royalty and us, Christian women related to crowns. To God be the glory!
Psalm 136:1, O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
The Bible has a lot to say about women associated with jewels. The godly woman is likened to a CROWN.
The Book of Proverbs, Titus, Ephesians, Corinthians, Colossians, II Peter, and other instances, like the Book of Esther, II Kings all talk about the virtues and qualities of the woman close to God’s heart.
It is marvelous to think that the Lord makes the woman who follows Him not only a Christian, but He also resembles her, figuratively, with a priceless jewel: a crown.
Proverbs 12:4, A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
Many men forget how rich and blessed they are by having a godly spouse who praises the Lord in everything she does. They are given by God prestige, value, honour, glory among other people. Where do people wear the crowns? On their head.
Proverbs 31:10, Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Ladies, stop and think for a second… God tells us in His word that a woman of VIRTUE is in the sight of God of great price, even greater than all the gems of this world. Once we have the righteousness of Jesus Christ, we are transformed not only inwardly from a moral and spiritual standpoint, but also we are given metaphorical meaning by becoming a jewel.
Additionally, the Bible has plenty to say about different crowns which a believer gets in Heaven as rewards once they get saved and live for Christ.
By being born again, we have ”royal blood”, being born spiritually among the saints, having mansions in Heavenly places promised by Jesus.
John 3:3, Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 14:1-3, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
By being one with Jesus, we are given the righteousness of God. We will rule and reign with Him forever.
Peter acknowledges that all believers are a ROYAL priesthood, zealous of good works.
1 Peter 2:9, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
Being a Christian is not enough to reflect the quality of the godly pursuit in your life. As women, we ought to surrender to God’s purpose and will both in our personal lives and in the general sense of becoming a new creature.
II Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Dear Christian women, by surrendering everything to God, you can make the place you dwell in a welcoming, warm environment for others, but first and foremost, you can be the heart of the home for your own family.
Proverbs 31:28-30, Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Warm greetings,
Denisa
