The Sincere Milk of the Spirit

Nothing in the world can even come close to the King James Bible of 1611. You might think, "She exalts too much the BOOK", but this is not a mere a book. The Bible is God's word and I believe it is infallible. The word of God is perfect, and the Lord Himself stresses the importance of His word,

Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

Also, another passage is when Jesus Christ was tempted in the wilderness... What He said was "It is written...", 'It is written...", "It is written..." 3 TIMES to DEFEND Himself. Isn't it wonderful to have God's word as weapon?

Matthew 4:4, "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

We notice how paramount it is that we need to feed ourselves with the word of the LORD.

Like any other type of good nutrient, the Bible has some benefits upon those who sincerely read it.

· It strengthens their conscience.

A man prefers to have a weak conscience so that he does what he prefers to do. With this New Age and modernist movement, many believe that if they do a certain thing according to their own conscience, everything would be all right. No, it is not. The Bible says that men’s minds and conscience is defiled, and one that is not witnessed to by the Holy Spirit of God has an unreliable conscience.

· It wounds pride.

The Bible is the only Book in the world that does that. Many refuse to submit to it because of selfishness and pride. Everything in this era is related to self-righteosness, self-worship, self-love, etc. During His ministry on Earth, Jesus preached that one should deny himself/herself, pick up the cross and follow Him, even though the path might be difficult along the run, since the person is moving against the worldly stream.

Luke 9:23, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Humbling oneself through the aid of The Book is the way which brings him/her closer to the divine wisdom, close to Jesus’ heart.

· It exalts Jesus Christ and His name above any other name.

Jesus Christ is The Man in the Bible – although He is also God. Many things are elevated in this world: institutions, works, art, etc., but the Bible clearly exalts the Creator, not the creation. The reason why many do not want to read the Bible is because it exalts Jesus Christ above any other person.

· It disturbs the godless daily routines.

A tough “accusation” that bible-believers get is that they are fanatics who lost their minds reading and studying the word of God. In some instances, the Bible is so direct that can upset people and many need to be upset these days. “The trouble with us today is we are not upset about the things we gotta be upset about.” Ruckman

· It exposes sin.

The Scriptures are written in such a way not only to reveal God, but to show people all the transgressions against His statutes. Let’s take an example of a room that looks clean, but when the sunlight penetrates inside, dust particles can be seen, and so, it is not that clean as it seemed in the first place. Certainly, the room is better by comparison with a totally untidy one, but still, this applies to individuals that let God’s words of light penetrate them.

· It demands obedience.

People cannot be the same after they read the Bible: they are either getting better or worse. Those who mess with the Book, God messes with their minds. It demands obedience, patience, devotion to grasp its meanings. Let’s take an example of a man who went through college: very educated, who had a lot of wives and ideas in his head. One day, he began to read the Bible, turned to his wife and he said, “Wife, if this Book is true, I’m lost!” And he kept on reading it; a week later, while he was reading it, he turned to his wife and said, “Wife, if this book is true, I can be saved!” And he kept on reading the Bible... About a week later, he turned to his wife and said, “You know, honey, if this Book is true, I am saved!

Those who are genuinely seeking the truth, they will receive in the end what they ask for.

Overall, “it’s either sin keeping people from the Bible, or the Bible keeping people from their sin.” Ruckman

Keeping this in mind, the Bible has power to change someone's heart if read and obeyed effectively. Moreover, the Bible guarantees our rewards when we completely surrender to what it speaks about.

What are your benefits from reading the Bible? Looking forward to seeing yours.

God bless you, darlings!

With God's love,

Denisa
